Miniature theaters date back to the early 19th century in Europe. Started two years ago, co-founders Benjamin and Helen created a showcase of artisanal craftsmanship featuring miniature theater masterpieces, now in demand from collectors and museums both in France and abroad. From their workshop in Compiègne, their inspiration is often found in the surrounding forests and in the Château de Compiègne, a royal residence built for Louis XV and restored by Napoleon.
An artist by training, Helen paints all the figurines by hand, and all pieces and sets are molded and crafted by Benjamin. Figurart’s imaginative creations blend heritage and modernity, emphasizing sustainability through their use of traceable materials for their exquisite hand-carved figurines and mini theaters, entirely Made in France.
